I’m a college student and a junk-foodie with an avid love of all things new and exciting. Trying out different foods with friends and family has been, much to their joy and chagrin, a lifelong affection of mine. I’ve always had a passion for food, and I thank my family for that. They’re always finding new and delicious things to serve up at parties and our frequent get-togethers. Their love and support have been absolutely indispensable during my life.
As the song goes, “I’m a part-time lover and a full-time friend” to my lovely and sarcastic M, the PleasantPheasant guinea pig extraordinaire. She’s a witty and hardworking twenty-something with some of the best fashion sense I’ve ever seen. We stumbled across each other in a college class two years ago and have been together ever since. We’re both still rather surprised about that, but my times with her have been some of the happiest of my life.
Lately, I’ve been remodeling my culinary life to be healthier. I believe that eating well is part of living well, and that it can be done ecstatically with healthy alternatives to the usual comfort foods.
